Sandpiper Art Gallery Membership

Benefits of Membership:

   Memberships open to artists and art lovers.

   Members can show pieces in the gallery monthly.

   Members can enjoy the business rental program.

   Members can be featured in a show on alternate years.

   Members may participate in weekly art sessions.

   Members can use the extensive art library.

   Members may show work on this website.

  • Active membership—single dues: $50.00 annually. Couples dues: $75 annually.

  • Associate Membership—single dues: $100 annually. Couples: $150 annually.

  • Patron Membership—An annual $100.00 minimum donation encouraged.

  • Student Membership: $20 annually.

    Student Memberships are available to students enrolled in a local high school or college.

    Responsibilities and benefits:

    • Volunteers to help in gallery activities or committees. Examples:

      • Helps Gallery Director hang/display new shows

      • Helps hang/display Member Wall area for each new show

      • Assists with Art Festival set-up and take down

      • Takes Posters promoting gallery events to businesses around our area

    • Participation in the operation of the gallery is encouraged but not necessary. May attend the gallery if desired.

    • Has full voting rights.

    • May participate in and initiate discussions at monthly member meetings; may attend other official functions (dates and times are published in each newsletter).

    • Has full use of the library, may check out books for up to one month.

    • May submit new artwork to Open Shows at no cost except 20% commission on sales.

    • May submit new artwork to Members Only shows (such as the Christmas Show) at no cost except 20% commission on sales.

    • May submit new artwork to the Member Wall section of the gallery at the change of each exhibit (subject to the approval of the Gallery Director) at no cost except 20% commission on sales.

    • May participate in the Art Rental program (subject to Art Rental Committee approval). All fees subject to a 20% commission.

    • May request to have items for sale in the Gift Shop (subject to Gift Shop Chairperson approval). Pays a 20% commission on all Gift Shop sales. Non-member artists are charged 30%.

    • May participate in the Sandpiper Art Festival as a vendor and pay 10% commission on all sales (subject to Festival Jury Approval).*

    • May participate in the Sandpiper Art Festival by placing artwork in the Sandpiper Art Gallery booth (subject to Booth Chairperson approval). Will pay a 10% commission on any sales in the Sandpiper Art Gallery booth.

    • May attend workshops at the cost listed for members.

    • Receives a 5% discount on gallery purchases on the day of the monthly meetings and gallery shows' opening receptions.

    • Receives Sandpiper Art Gallery newsletters and other communications sent to members.

    *Sandpiper Gallery Art Festival participants who wish to receive a reduced sales commission must be Active or Associate members in good standing for six (6) months prior to the festival.
