Nancy Gordon
Since 1960, Montana has been my home. It has been my inspiration for numerous paintings and art projects.
I have enjoyed creative work all my life. I started painting in the early seventies and got serious about it in the eighties.
Although I studied drawing and painting at the university, I consider myself self-taught. When the occasion presented itself over the years, I took workshops with the painters I most admired.
I enjoy the impressionist painter very much. I love to look at the brushwork and imagine what the artist was thinking as he or she made the selection of color and form.
I consider my art education an ongoing living experience. I paint because I enjoy it so much I can’t imagine not painting.
