Summary:  AM Stockhill is a working artist/illustrator.  Her first children’s book, Farm Friends, written by Anna Roan, has just been published.  Am’s paintings are in galleries in Bozeman, Missoula and Polson as well as Bisbee, AZ and Jackson Hole, WY.

Am specializes in richly-textured painting surfaces, and warm, earth-inspired colors. 

Her popular Horse series presents the essence of the horse’s strength, beauty, passion and power. Mixed-media work extends into the abstract and non-representational worlds as well.  Many of Am’s paintings require twenty to thirty individual glazes of pigment in order to obtain the luminosity and impact that she seeks.  Her work can be seen at www.amstockhill.com.
