Sandpiper Art and Gift Gallery
Welcome! Sandpiper Art and Gift Gallery is a non-profit artist's cooperative, supporting the arts and art education in Lake County, Montana. It was founded in 1971 by a group of artists, many of whom remain involved today. The all-volunteer membership participates in the operation of the gallery and gift shop. Each year Sandpiper gives scholarships to deserving Lake County students, hosts nine gallery exhibitions, and hosts the Sandpiper Art Festival in August.
Our mission is to encourage and promote participation in the arts in Lake County, Montana. We provide educational opportunities through workshops, scholarships, exhibits, a library, and other resources. We believe that the inherent value of the fine arts enhances the quality of life and merits our attention.
Running through August 15th: “Eye Candy: Something purely aesthetically pleasing, that is, to the senses.” This multi-media show features Sandpiper member artists Julie Christopher (painting & ceramics), Matt Holmes (painting), and Mike Watson (woodworking), and invited artists Courtney Christopher (painting & sculpture) and Amber Nolan (jewelry). Photos from this exhibit can be seen on our Exhibits & Events page.
